Date A Live Ⅳ (デート・ア・ライブⅣ, Dēto A Raibu 4?) is the fourth anime adaptation of the light novels of the same title written by Kōshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako. The anime television series is animated by Geek Toys and directed by Jun Nakagawa.
Announcement[]
The release of the the third season's final episode was not accompanied by any announcement of a new anime, which is why fans began to ask for a sequel. On July 26, 2019, Chinese developers of Date A Live: Spirit Pledge launched an online petition directly to Kōshi Tachibana and the Kadokawa Corporation to expand the Date A Live universe and create a fourth season. The petition has collected more than 73,000 signatures.
On September 18, 2019, Tachibana announced the development of a new anime project. The announcement was accompanied by official art by Tsunako featuring Tohka and Kurumi. On September 23, 2019, an anime based on Date A Live Fragment: Date A Bullet was announced during the Spirit Pledge stream, which briefly caused confusion among fans, as they were anticipating a fourth season rather than Date A Bullet. The announcement showed official art with Kurumi and Hibiki Higoromo. On the same day, Tachibana confirmed that the new Date A Live anime and the announced Date A Bullet anime are two different projects. Also, in addition to the Date A Bullet art, he showed a new official art for the new anime, which features Tohka, Nia Honjo, and Mukuro Hoshimiya.
On March 16, 2020, Tachibana confirmed that the new Date A Live anime is the fourth season of main story.

On January 17, 2022, the second trailer was shown with an opening from Miyu Tomita - OveR. Sweet ARMS was confirmed to perform the ending theme. Hitomi Nabatame and Akari Kageyama also joined the cast as Nia Honjo and Mukuro Hoshimiya.
On March 3, 2022, the German company AniMoon announced that Date A Live Ⅳ will start on April 8th. On March 7, Date A Live's official Twitter account confirmed the information, and key art from the anime was revealed. On March 27, at the AnimeJapan 2022 festival, a Nia story arc trailer was shown accompanied by sweet ARMS - S.O.S.
