Date A Live Ⅱ (デート・ア・ライブⅡ, Dēto A Raibu 2?) is the second anime adaptation of the light novels of the same title written by Kōshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako. An anime television series animated by Production IMS and directed by Keitaro Motonaga.

The second season of the anime, titled as "Date A Live Ⅱ" or "Date A Live 2", was announced after the end of the first season, where a short teaser trailer was showed the Yamai sisters, Miku, Ellen, Westcott, Shido with Sandalphon, and Tohka in her Inverse Form.
During the "Date A FES" event on October 6, 2013, new cast was revealed: Maaya Uchida and Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Kaguya Yamai and Yuzuru Yamai, Chihara Minori as Miku Izayoi, Shizuka Itō as Ellen Mira Mathers and Ryōtarō Okiayu as Isaac Ray Pelham Westcott.
Taking over from AIC +, this season was produced by Production IMS, which was made up of most of the staff in charge of season 1. It was directed by Keitaro Motonaga, who also directed the anime's first season.
The second season, covering volumes 5 to 7, ran from April 11, 2014 to June 13, 2014 with 10 episodes.
An unaired OVA episode was bundled with the Date A Live Encore 3 short story collection and was released on December 9, 2014.
Date A Live Ⅱ has been licensed by Funimation for streaming and home video release in North America and by Madman Entertainment in Australia.
Introduction[]
Spirits are otherworldly entities with immense power, capable of creating Spacequakes whenever they appear. One way of dealing with them is through brute force and killing them... or making them fall in love and sealing their powers.
Having sealed three Spirits, Shido Itsuka continues his mission with Ratatoskr in locating more Spirits and dating them, to ensure the world's safety from further destruction. However, this time around, their problems will not be limited to Spirits as a more imposing threat seems to have noticed their activities.

- Miku Izayoi is mentioned in episode 1, but her actual appearance was in episode 5.
- The second season has 10 episodes. In contrast, seasons 1, 3 and 4 have 12 episodes each.
- On June 12, 2015, the Chinese Ministry of Culture listed Date A Live Ⅱ among 38 anime and manga titles banned in China. The titles have been banned because, according to officials, they "include scenes of violence, pornography, terrorism and crimes against public morality" that could potentially incite minors to commit such acts.
- In the English Dub, Shido and Tohka's voice actors sing their own translated version of "Q&A" in episode 6.
- The OVA 2 episode takes place a month after the events of Episode 10 of Season 1.
