Nagisa Himekawa (氷芽川 渚沙, Himekawa Nagisa?) was Yoshino's mother, who died in an accident shortly before her daughter became a Spirit.
Summary[]
As Yoshino's mother, Nagisa was her daughter's sole guardian and provider while Yoshino was in the hospital. She is also the original creator of the Yoshinon puppet, having made it as a substitute for herself so Yoshino would always have something to remember her by while she was busy at work.

During Yoshino's flashback, Nagisa was remembered wearing a tank top and casual clothes that are easy to move around while doing a job that requires physical labor.
Personality[]
Nagisa had an exuberant personality, often acting energetic whenever visiting her daughter in the hospital. Despite being a struggling single parent, she was caring to the extent that she felt guilty over her work limiting the amount of time she could see Yoshino. Her outgoing personality was very similar to Yoshinon, as Yoshino may have subconsciously based Yoshinon's quirks on her mother's mannerisms.

Background[]
Nagisa raised Yoshino as a single parent struggling to also finance Yoshino's medical bills. Despite the amount of time her job consumed, she still tried to make time for Yoshino by visiting her in the hospital. One day, Nagisa greeted Yoshino with a rabbit puppet as a surprise. When questioned by her daughter on the puppet's eyepatch, she sheepishly confessed that the eyepatch was due to her running out of materials to make a second eye. Nagisa told Yoshino that the puppet should be considered something to always remember her by when she was busy at work. In gratitude, Yoshino prepared to make a second puppet representing herself for her mother. However, Nagisa would tragically pass away in a work-related accident before the junior puppet could be given.
