Mana introduces herself

Mana introduces herself

Thanks to the increased activity of Spirits within Tengu City, Mana is assigned as additional personnel for the AST. Ryouko introduces her to the team by describing her as someone who had killed a Spirit by herself in the past. Upon the AST captain's instruction, Mana enters the room and introduces herself to her new teammates. Her appearance surprises everyone present, as they did not expect a kid to be the new top ace. In return, she retaliates by saying that they shouldn't judge her age unless they feel confident that they could beat her. Her response merits a smack on the head from Ryouko, who tells Mana to sit down and watch the footage from their last battle with <Hermit>. When Shido's face appears on the screen, she presses her hands to the side of her head as if trying to suppress a headache. Then, she mutters the words "Nii-sama" as she stares at Shido's appearance on the screen. At that moment, Origami notices the striking resemblance between Shido and Mana.

Kurumi Killer[]

Mock battle with the AST

At the special training grounds of the AST base, Mana has a mock battle against a full AST team. She easily defeats nine members, leaving Origami as the only one who is still fighting. As Origami accelerates in for an attack, Mana prepares the Twin Blade Mode of her <Murakumo>. As their Territories collide, Origami shrinks the size of her Territory, making Mana lose her balance as the tips of her thrusters are restored to their original weight. However, Mana is able to regain her balance by using her laser blade to cut her thrusters in half. At that moment, Origami sees the opportunity to lunge in with her laser blade <No Pain>. Nevertheless, Mana's reaction time allows her to restart her Territory, immobilizing Origami as she points her blade at the AST member's neck. After declared checkmate, the practice battle is settled as Mana's victory.

Afterward, Mana arrives at the hangar inside the base and gives a sports drink to Origami as she approaches her. Mana praises Origami for her strength, citing it was the first time in a while she faced someone who could touch her in combat. In response, Origami asks Mana how she can become strong like her, requesting details about how she killed a Spirit. Shrugging her shoulders, Mana gives out a hesitant reply and says that the Spirit she killed is a little different from the rest of the Spirits. Mana tells Origami that it's better if she sees it for herself in the near future and reveals that she was assigned here in case the Spirit appeared. Before she can state that Spirit's codename, she is interrupted by Ryouko, who hits both of them on the head for damaging equipment during a mock battle. Afterwards, Mana jokes that Captain-dono gives her a headache, comparing her to be just as annoying as the Spirits.

Then, Origami asks Mana about her relation to Shido, the person that she recognized in the footage of the battle with <Hermit>. Mana takes out an old locket with a picture of both her and Shido as children. The photo of the past was the only clue for her. Despite not having her childhood memories, she recognizes the person inside the picture as her older brother. Mana then asks for information about her brother to Origami. Origami first replies with basic information but then proceeds with extremely specific statistics about Shido's medical records. Shocked, Mana tells Origami to stop, as she does not want to know that many details about him. Soon after, Mana asks Origami about her relationship with Shido, to which Origami replies that they are lovers.

Later, Mana approaches Ryouko as the AST commander is analyzing Origami's report that the new transfer student had declared herself to be a Spirit. Mana identifies the girl to be the Spirit codenamed <Nightmare>, the most brutal Spirit that she was chasing after. Mana tells Ryouko that <Nightmare> has caused over ten thousand deaths apart from Spacequakes. Mana reassures Ryouko to leave the situation to her since she has experience dealing with <Nightmare>. However, Ryouko stresses that Mana still has to obey her orders, since she was assigned to her squad. Mana agrees but also informs Ryouko that the association she comes from has received permission from the General for her to act independently.

Mana hugs Shido

Mana reunites with her brother Shido

After Kurumi kills her latest victims, Mana appears with her CR-Unit to confront Kurumi. Mana complains that <Nightmare> has been eating violently again. When Kurumi greets Mana with her name, she responds that the Spirit's attitude makes her want to puke. She rejects calling Kurumi by her name since she doesn't want to be called by her name from Kurumi. As Kurumi continues to taunt her, Mana's gaze sharpens before going in for the kill. Soon afterwards, Mana leaves and confronts Shido and Tohka as they are walking home from school. After she finishes shouting out "Nii-sama", she runs up to hug Shido who along with Tohka is shocked by this.

Afterward, Shido takes Mana to the Itsuka residence. While here Tohka and Yoshino note that she looks very similar to Shido, to which Mana replies that it’s because they are siblings. As they talk, Shido tells Mana that he can't remember her, but she replies the same goes for her as well. However, she proves their familial relation by showing them her pendant which holds the picture of them together in their childhood. Mana then questions Shido why he is with a different girl when he already has Origami, voicing her surprise that her brother is two-timing. Tohka’s response to having gone out on a date and kissed Shido before does not improve Mana’s opinion.

As Kotori arrives, Mana questions who she is. Kotori replies that she is Shido’s foster sister. Then, Shido asks her if she knows what happened to their mother. Mana shakes her head, revealing that she does not remember anything prior to three years ago. The only thing she has is a silver locket that contains an old photo of Shido and her as kids. As Kotori questions how she can be so certain, Mana responds that it comes from their bond as siblings. When Kotori asks if she intends to take Shido away, Mana replies that she has no such intention, she’s just glad to see that her brother is living a happy life. Soon after, Mana and Kotori have an argument over what type of little sister is better, with Mana saying that Kotori couldn’t beat a real sister. They both confront Shido about what he prefers better: a real sister or a foster sister. Wanting to change the topic, Shido quickly asks where Mana is living now since she wasn’t living with her family. Mana falters with her reply and states that she is working in a place that is equipped with living quarters. After being further questioned, Mana asks to be excused and runs away.

The next day, Kotori and Reine show a video recording of Kurumi being confronted by Mana in her unique wiring suit. From the recording, they see Mana delivering a death blow to Kurumi. After completing the mission, Mana dispels the CR-Unit she was wearing, returning to her previous attire. After watching the video, Shido is shocked at how emotionless Mana was in killing Kurumi. It appears as if she had done the deed numerous times and had grown apathetic towards killing Kurumi.

As Shido’s date with Kurumi took a turn for the worse, Mana intervenes with her CR-unit equipped. She asked if Shido was alright, to which Shido was too stunned to answer. Agreeing to save the talk for later, she focuses her attention back on Kurumi. After snapping her fingers, the mechanical parts on her shoulder release a beam of light toward Kurumi. After moving her fingers, it alters the trajectory of her attack, piercing Kurumi. Despite Shido’s protests, Mana delivers the final blow. As Shido questions why she did this, Mana replies that not doing so could have caused Shido to be the one who died. Shido says that he knows the AST’s position, but they shouldn’t treat the Spirits like monsters. Mana voices her surprise that Shido knows about AST and the Spirits, though she presumes that it’s probably because of Origami.

Shido asks her why she remained so calm when committing murder. Mana states that it’s because she has gotten used to killing her; <Nightmare> is a Spirit that has revived countless times, no matter how many times she had killed her. She refuses Shido’s request to stop, saying that she is the only one who can stop <Nightmare> from murdering more people. Seeing that reinforcements will be arriving soon, she uses her territory to push Shido away. As she wanders the scene, she finds Shido’s communication device and hears Kotori’s voice coming from the transmitter.

Mana confronts Kotori

Mana confronts Kotori

The next day, Mana confronts Kotori on the rooftop. Handing the transmitter back to Kotori, she asks if she and Shido are a part of <Ratatoskr>, an organization that she heard rumors of wanting to use conversation to persuade the Spirits. Mana scolds Kotori for taking Shido to such a dangerous position. She tells Kotori that she is disqualified from being Shido’s sister and that she is taking her brother back. Kotori asks if she is taking him back to an evil industry like DEM. She tells Kotori that she won’t tolerate her calling DEM an evil corporation since they took her in when she had amnesia and gave her a reason to live. Surprised, Kotori asks if she doesn’t know what DEM did to her body and asks her to defect to <Ratatoskr>. However, before they can continue, their conversation is interrupted by the report of an extremely strong spirit wavelength reading.

Mana comes to rescue Shido

Mana comes to rescue Shido

Coming to Shido’s rescue once again, Mana uses her laser blade to slice off Kurumi’s arm. However, Kurumi merely rewinds time to heal herself. Using the first bullet to accelerate herself forward, Kurumi pushes Mana backward. Mana tells Kurumi that as long as she can still see the attack, she can use her personal territory to counter. In response, Kurumi uses the seventh bullet to freeze Mana in place; Kurumi relentlessly shoots a barrage of bullets at Mana. As Mana struggles to stay conscious, she begs Shido to run away. Kurumi reveals that the opponents Mana has killed so far are all her clones. Kurumi then proceeds to use her large number of clones to incapacitate Mana.

Itsuka Sister[]

After Kotori's battle with Kurumi ended, Mana is recovered by the AST members who arrived later. They transported her to the JSDF's Tengu Hospital, as the injuries she sustained during her fight with Kurumi left her in critical condition. When Shido visits the hospital to check up on Mana, his request to see her is rejected because Mana is currently in a special treatment room. Origami later explains to Shido that they are using secret equipment to conduct a special surgery. Therefore, no one is allowed to meet Mana until she is moved to a common ward.

Yamai Tempest[]

Mana wakes up

Mana wakes up from her coma

As Mana slowly opens her eyes, she finds her vision blurry from not using her eyes for a while. She could not properly exert strength onto her body since her whole body was filled with a dull pain. As her senses adjust to her surroundings, Mana begins to question her current location.

Seeing the bandages on her body and the electrodes stuck in her chest, Mana recognizes that she is a patient who is in critical condition. She removes her oxygen mask before staring at a nearby clock. The date is marked as July 5th, which means a month had passed since her confrontation with Kurumi on the rooftop. Trying to figure out what happened, she starts to wonder why she isn’t dead since, by the time she lost consciousness, the battle situation was at its worst possible state. At that moment, the door of the sickroom opens, and a small number of people wearing black suits enter. The men requested that Mana come with them. They then state that they do not want to use violence, but will resort to it if they have no choice. Mana quickly glares at them, telling them to try if they can. A few minutes later, a nurse enters Mana’s room but finds the patient bed empty.

Miku Lily[]

Mana is briefly mentioned by Kotori, who tells Shido that she was an example of how evil DEM was. But Kotori stops before she can continue and quickly changes the topic. Later, as Kotori is brainwashed by Miku’s <Gabriel>, she gives out the command to fire <Mystletainn> at the Tengu Square central stage. At the last second, Mana intervenes and knocks Kotori unconscious. Mana complains about the noise, as she was trying to get some rest. Reine informs her that the crew members other than herself and Shiizaki are being controlled by Miku. Mana is then given a request by Reine to make every crew member other than them faint. After the task is done, she sees her brother on the main screen. As Reine continues to inform her of the situation, Mana questions if there is a CR-Unit onboard the ship.

Mana vs Jessica

Mana battling Jessica

As Origami is about to lose to Jessica and her squadron, Mana intervenes by using her new CR-Unit, <Vánargandr>, to destroy the <Bandersnatch> units that are attacking Origami. After greeting Origami, she tells her to save the talk for later, since their priority is saving Shido. Dumbfounded, Jessica calls Mana by her old codename, "Adeptus 2", and demands to know why she is attacking them. She informs Jessica that she is defecting from DEM. Afterward; she instantaneously slashes apart Jessica’s unit and thrusters. Launching a blast of energy from a weapon on her left hand, Mana knocks Jessica unconscious. Despite giving a warning for the remaining Wizards to retreat, the DEM squad still decides to confront Mana anyway. Seeing this sight, Mana sighs and says that it is an expected response before spreading both her arms as if to prepare for incoming attacks from every direction.

After not even five minutes have passed, Mana has finished eliminating all of the opposing Wizards and <Bandersnatch> units. As Origami collapses from exhaustion, Mana catches her before she falls. While deliberating what to do with Origami, Mana suddenly feels an uncomfortable shudder. It is the same bad feeling she had felt when facing the presence of her bitter sworn enemy: the Worst Spirit.

Miku Truth[]

Afterward, Mana drops off Origami back to the AST base. Before leaving, she informs Mikie that they will likely be enemies the next time they meet. As Kurumi and Shido prepare to enter the DEM building, Mana quickly arrives and attacks Kurumi. Mana informs Shido that she is no longer working for DEM, and is instead a part of <Ratatoskr> now. As Kurumi reappears from the shadows, they begin exchanging insults with each other. At that moment, Kurumi declares that she has another matter to attend to, so she will leave Shido with Mana.

After Kurumi leaves, Mana asks why Shido was dressed as a girl. As Shido struggles to explain, Mana tells him that she is very forgiving. If he had developed a preference for women's clothing, then she suggests that they go shopping together next time. Then, as if remembering something, Mana hands Shido an earphone that connected him to <Fraxinus>. Kotori informs Shido that they had used Mana’s territory to purify the area in order to undo the brainwashing. After Shido declares that he wants to press on to save Tohka, Kotori complains to Mana about having such a disobedient brother. In response, Mana states that if Shido was a fool who flees with his tail tucked between his legs, then she wouldn't want to admit to ever having such a brother. Finally relenting, Kotori instructs him to stay close to Mana to ensure his safety.

Mana attacks

Mana's second battle with Jessica

Flying low with the help of Mana's territory, the two of them avoid the battle between the DEM Wizards and Kurumi’s clones. However, as they descend close to the entrance, Mana quickly uses her territory to push Shido out of the way. The two are confronted by Jessica, who is now piloting the <Scarlet Licorice>. Mana then separates from Shido, leaving to confront Jessica. Dodging the barrage of missiles that Jessica launched, Mana notes with disgust that Jessica doesn’t even have the normal ability to analyze her attacks and is merely attacking at random. She concludes that Jessica’s brain was probably modified with magic, reminding her of the same treatment that DEM had done to her. At that moment, Kotori contacts her and tells her that they will be providing cover for her by using <Yggd Folium> in mine mode to block the missiles. However, at that moment, she is attacked by Yoshino, Kaguya, and Yuzuru, who are under orders from Miku to attack all Wizards in the surrounding area.

Wanting to divert the Spirit’s attention away, she sees Ryouko and her AST squad nearby. After declaring tag, she decides to leave the Spirits to them. As she continues to dodge Jessica’s attacks, Mana senses her territory collide with another one. She then quickly avoided a laser blade strike from her side. Ellen approaches Mana and compliments her for escaping her attack. Ellen voices her disappointment since she had acknowledged Mana as the 2nd most skilled personnel in DEM. However, Mana tells Ellen to stop the jokes, because she knows what DEM has done to her body. At that moment, Jessica deploys her <Blastark> cannon, to which Mana uses her Territory to minimize the brunt of the impact. Faced with the two strongest opponents in DEM, Mana struggles to stay mobile under the threat of incoming attacks from all sides. However, Mana is saved by Origami’s timely intervention. With the AST Wizard taking away Ellen’s attention from her, she resumes her battle with Jessica.

Mana comforting Jessica

Mana comforting Jessica as she dies

As the battle continued, Mana used her <Wolftail> to parry Jessica’s attack. At that moment, abnormalities began to show up on Jessica's body as she started to bleed from her mouth and eyes. Seeing that Jessica has reached her limit, Mana tells her to surrender since the outcome is clear now. However, Jessica refuses to be reasoned with and rants to Mana that she will not lose again since she has the <Scarlet Licorice>. Mana realizes that with one wrong step, she could have ended up just like Jessica. Hardening her resolve, Mana advanced through the storm of bullets, activated the laser sword on her right hand, and sliced open Jessica's chest. As Jessica is dying, she asks Mana if Westcott would notice her now. Trying to offer Jessica some peace before she dies, Mana lies and tells Jessica what she wants to hear. Mana then closes Jessica's eyes while carrying her body. Looking towards the main offices of DEM, Mana voices Westcott’s name in disgust.

Natsumi Search[]

As Kotori is wondering about <Phantom>’s penchant for handing out Sephira Crystals, Mana reaches out and hands Kotori some iced coffee. She tells Kotori that it is good to be dedicated, but not to overwhelm herself. Kotori asks Mana where she came from, to which Mana replies from the front door. Seeing that Kotori was getting tired, she asks her to take a rest for a while. However, Kotori quickly informs Mana that she was referring to why she was not undergoing treatment in order to increase her lifespan. However, Mana tries to avoid the topic and tries to escape. At that moment, Kotori hugs her, thanking her for saving everyone while most of the <Fraxinus> crew were brainwashed. Mana returns the gratitude, telling Kotori that she is grateful that <Ratatoskr> took her in and saved her from DEM. However, Mana still rejects Kotori’s requests for treatment, telling the commander that she needs to chase after <Nightmare>, as she felt that there was no one else that could be Kurumi’s opponent other than her. As Kotori receives a call from headquarters, Mana uses that opportunity to escape. Before leaving, she tells Kotori that she will consider taking the treatment.

Itsuka Disaster[]

As Ellen arrives with a squad of <Bandersnatch> units to capture Shido, Reine has Mana intercept Ellen in order to provide enough time for the Spirits to restore their Paths with Shido. Making her arrival, Mana easily destroys three <Bandersnatch> units. In response, Ellen complains that Ike’s hobby was difficult to swallow and that she should have killed him at that time. After questioning what she is saying, Mana retorts that it does not matter since she will not let her pass. Pointing the sword equipped in her right hand towards Ellen, Mana prepares for combat. [1]

As the fight continues, Mana finds herself at a disadvantage, since Ellen’s <Caledfwlch> is a sword entirely made of magic. Structurally, it was class apart from her <Wolftail>, which was a real sword coated with magic. Predicting Mana’s attack, Ellen gives a counterattack that finally breaks Mana’s defensive shield. At that moment, the <Ratatoskr> facility suddenly started to shine, emitting a pillar of light towards the sky. With Mana’s attention taken away, her defense momentarily faltered, leaving her completely exposed to Ellen’s attack. Despite using her Territory to buffer the attack, Mana’s body still plummets from the sky like a smashed volleyball.

DAL v12 10

Mana listens to a dazed Shido

At that moment, Shido appears from floating in the pillar of light while still in a dazed state. After seeing Mana, Shido voices his relief that Mana was alright, having been worried about her after she was kidnapped by DEM. Shido questions if a person named Mio helped her out. After hearing that name, Mana feels a sharp pain in her head. Numerous scenes play out in her head and rapidly change like a camera shutter. She remembers the park where she played with her friend, a teacher giving a lesson in a class, and her birthday celebrated with her brother. And then, the back of a girl with long hair. As she is lost in her thoughts, Ellen prepares another attack. However, Shido stops the attack by using the Reiryoku surrounding him to block Ellen’s sword. Upon noticing Ellen’s appearance, Shido shouts out DEM and starts growling like a wild animal. The Reiryoku curled around Shido increased its intensity and blew away both Ellen and Mana who were nearby. Mana employs a territorial field to absorb the impact and asked Shido who was Mio-san. Nevertheless, her current opponent is the world’s most powerful Wizard. Mana could not allow herself for even the slightest negligence. Reluctantly, Mana voices her frustration as she averted her eyes away from Shido.

Afterward, Mana flies closer to the <Ratatoskr> underground facility. She tells Kotori to leave Ellen to her and requests that they save Shido. Flying back to the sky, the collision of their attacks caused magical light to scatter like sparks. Seeing that she is at a disadvantage, Mana tries taunting Ellen in order to cause a disturbance in the sensitivity of Ellen’s Territory. Mana informs Ellen that she has seen her trip several times where there's nothing around and that she had to take two breaks when carrying documents from the second floor up to the fourth floor. Continuing her taunts, she makes up that Ellen’s subordinates are secretly mocking her behind her back. However, at that moment, Ellen receives an update about <Material A> and decides to retreat. Mana chooses not to follow her, as her goal is buying time and there is no guarantee that she will win if she follows her. As Mana flies away, the name Shido said earlier still keeps lingering in her mind. [2]

Nia Creation[]

As Shido goes to deliver the groceries to Kotori, he finds Kotori and Reine trying to force Mana to change her clothes. They explain that they are forcing Mana to take a detailed medical examination. Upon noticing Shido’s arrival, Mana states that it's fine since she does not feel sick anywhere.

Shido thanks her for helping out when he lost control of his powers earlier in the month. Mana is about to ask something to Shido but is interrupted by Kotori, who asks if Mana is trying to escape while talking to Shido. Kotori starts scolding Mana for her rash behavior as it could be endangering her health. As Shido tells Kotori not to worry so much, Kotori responds that she doesn’t know any other siblings who would do such reckless things. As both Shido and Mana struggle to answer, Kotori states that they are still continuing with a thorough examination of Mana’s body. As Mana begs her brother for help; Shido leaves, saying that it was not good to run away. [3]

Mukuro Planet[]

After Nia calls both Shido and Kotori into her room, both Mana and Origami take notice and follow them. After arriving, Nia hears Mana call Shido "Nii-sama", she demands Mana repeat those words once more. Taken back, Mana takes a few steps back in disgust. Shido then soon introduces Nia to Mana, telling her that Nia is a Spirit that had just been sealed. Mana is then teased by Nia, who tells her that "Nii-sama" is such an adorable form of addressing Shido. However, Mana is soon enraged by Nia calling her Imouto #2. She demands that she should be #1 since she is Shido's blood-related sister. Nia then suggests the name "Manacchi", which causes Mana to wonder if Nia is calling her an aquatic animal now.

DAL v14 04

Mana holding Shido as he falls unconscious

Throughout the conversation, Mana listens attentively. However, she then voices her shock when she hears about the new Wizard that had appeared yesterday. She tells Shido that Artemisia is a very famous SSS rank Wizard. If Artemisia had joined DEM while she was still present, even she would have been demoted from her Adeptus 2 rank. As everyone prepares to leave in order to give Nia some rest, Shido remembers that Mana had a question for him. After being suddenly reminded, Mana asks Shido about the events during the previous month when he had lost control of his powers. She tells him that he had asked her if a girl named Mio had helped her out after being kidnapped by DEM. Upon hearing that name, Shido is struck by a powerful headache, collapsing unconscious into Mana's arms.

As Shido wakes up, Mana informs him that he had scared everyone present, especially Kotori, much to the latter's embarrassment.

Kurumi Refrain[]

After receiving a tip-off from Kurumi, Mana intercepts Ellen's aerial assassination attempt against Shido. However, she is overwhelmed as Ellen uses her Realizer to scatter around countless sheets of paper that transform into the <Nibelcole>. More unexpectedly, Kurumi's clones arrive and offer Mana their aid. Begrudgingly accepting the offer, Mana resolves to deal with Kurumi next after the DEM threat is properly dealt with.

After the fight concludes as a stalemate with DEM retreating, Mana reappears as Shido asks Kotori about the sudden loss of communication with <Fraxinus>. Shido expresses concern seeing Mana being covered with poultice and bandage plaster, but Mana rather casually dismisses her injuries. Kotori states in an annoyed manner that she had asked Mana to go to the medical pod for treatment, but Mana retorts by asking why Kotori couldn't predict Ellen's surprise attack. As Kotori sheepishly explains that Ellen's stealth made her undetectable to their radar until the attack began, Mana reveals to everyone that Kurumi was the one who had leaked the details of DEM's surprise attack to her. While Kotori is grateful for Mana's last-minute assistance during a critical moment, Kotori asks Mana why she didn't inform Fraxinus if she knew about the attack beforehand. As Mana makes an awkward excuse, Kotori realizes Mana hid knowledge of the attack out of fear of being kept on the sidelines afterward. Mana tries to feign illness in order to escape punishment, but the excuse is quickly discarded after Kotori threatens even stricter medical treatment.

Kurumi Ragnarok[]

Mana is present while Shido explains Kurumi's motives to everyone. Mana is the only one having difficulty accepting that statement as true, citing it's ridiculous to believe that such a wicked Spirit can have such altruistic motives of saving everyone. However, Mana concedes that the chance of Shido lying to her shares the same high improbability. Letting out a sigh, Mana states she is willing to believe in what Shido said, but she still doesn't intend to accept Kurumi. Mana also brings up the name Mio Takamiya again as a greater priority. Mana thinks that sharing the same last name as her and Shido means she could be a relative or at least an acquaintance. However, due to both siblings having lost their memories, they are unable to come up with anything but speculation. At that moment, Mukuro brings up the possibility of using <Michael> to unlock Shido's' memories of Mio. The procedure causes Shido to collapse, with him seemingly waking up without remembering anything important. Mana offers to undergo the same procedure, but the idea is quickly shut down by Nia, who covertly tells Shido there may be a chance it could also make Mana remember the horrible experiments DEM did to her.

Later, as Ratatoskr and DEM are beginning preparations for their final battle, Mana accompanies Origami back to the AST base. Mana remarks that it's been a while since they were last here. She also questions if they are allowed access to the grounds now that she has fled from DEM, and Origami has been discharged from the military. Origami calmly replies it's fine as she has Mikie and Milly sneak them in. While they are catching up, Mana displays a noticeable angry glint in her eyes when she hears Origami tell Mikie that her body and heart have been dyed by Shido. After meeting up with Ryouko, the AST commander casually reveals that Mana now has a hefty bounty placed on her head by DEM for interfering with their activities. Mana teases Ryouko over whether or not she is willing to collect that bounty, but Ryouko merely states that she wants to minimize the damage to their equipment and forces as much as possible. Origami then proceeds to give a rough explanation of Spirits, Ratatoskr, and DEM to her former teammates and requests that the AST ignore the incoming dispatch order from DEM during the final battle. However, Ryouko refuses to do so, which causes Origami and Mana to leave after the former shoots a warning shot from her Angel.

When the final battle commences, Mana is placed on a team alongside Yoshino, Mukuro, and Origami. As Origami confronts Artemisia, the rest of the squad begins handling the surrounding DEM Wizards and <Bandersnatch>.

Mio Game Over[]

In a brief flashback to 30 years ago, Mana was seen helping Mio prepare for her date with Shinji. When selecting Mio's options of clothes for the appointed date, Mana ends up calling her best friend Haruko Homura for assistance. She lies to Homura by telling her that Mio is a distant relative. During the conversation, Haruko teases Mana for her gruff exterior, citing it as a reason why she can never find a boyfriend. However, Mana retaliates by asking about the progress of her crush, Tatsuo. As Mio expresses confusion over the term 'best friend', Mana tells her to not worry too much about it.

In the present day, Mana's team arrives just in time to save Tohka from Mio. Upon arriving, they are all furious to learn that Mio had already finished off the Yamai sisters. However, much to Mana's shock, Mio greets her with a pleasant expression on her face. Sensing Mana's confusion over her, Mio restores Mana's memories. However, this leads to Mana's head being overwhelmed by her memories returning as she struggles to say Mio's name. Deeming Mana necessary for the sake of Shinji's revival, Mio teleports her to a safe location away from the battlefield.

Mio True End[]

In the new timeline, DEM manages to invade the main bridge of <Fraxinus>. Mana saves Shido just in time from Ellen's attack. After momentarily driving Ellen away, Mana proceeds to follow after the DEM Wizard to the exterior hull of <Fraxinus>. Mana is soon joined by Shido and Kotori, forming a trio of siblings to fend off DEM's vanguard. Despite their valiant efforts, Mana's group begins to be overwhelmed by DEM's sheer numbers from the <Nibelcole>. Just as Shido is nearly killed, they are saved by Kurumi Tokisaki and her clones, who swiftly ambush Westcott to steal back Nia's Qlipha Crystal.

After DEM makes a swift retreat, their threat is immediately replaced by Mio, who arrives back to <Fraxinus> with two of her Angels already activated. Mana offers to stay behind to let Shido escape. She predicts Mio wouldn't kill her given the information provided by Shido about the prior timeline. However, Mana's offer is ultimately rejected, as Shido gains the strength to confront Mio by himself after Kurumi finally allows him to seal her powers. After Mio and Shido are enveloped in a cocoon of light, Mana and the Spirits are left confused over what just transpired, which causes Kurumi to use her newly gained <Rasiel> in search of an answer. Much later, Mana is among those present who are horrified at Westcott's transformation into the Second Spirit of Origin. Both Mana and Origami plan to retaliate, but they are easily knocked back by Ellen and Artemisia, both having received a power-up from Westcott. Fortunately, Shido and Mio return to the battlefield to even the odds. Mana also participates in the final battle between Ratatoskr and DEM.

Tohka World[]

After the final battle against Westcott, Mana undergoes a final checkup by Ratatoskr. She visits the Itsuka household one month later to happily announce that her body has been relieved of its problems, as well as request to transfer into Kotori's school starting from the third year of junior high. Kurumi emerges from the shadows to enter the conversation, believing that Mana's cure was a miracle caused by the world being rewritten, and brings out <Rasiel> as proof of how she knows. Shido confirms this by reliving one particular memory through <Zafkiel>'s <Yud>, identifying the culprit as Tohka. Another Spirit meeting is called up at Fraxinus, and Mana is seen wearing her CR-Unit and positioned on standby in case of an emergency.

Mana later watches the Spirit battle royale unfold, and after its conclusion, finds Kotori who had been eliminated and was thus without her Astral Dress. She gives a change of clothes to Kotori before announcing who won the battle royale. Kotori expresses surprise at the result, but is nonetheless helped by Mana's use of Territory to be brought to where Ratatoskr had reconvened the other Spirits. Once there, Mana encourages the victor to be more confident. Kurumi then emerges from the shadows, revealing that she deliberately held back in order to confront Mana one last time. Mana swiftly dodges Kurumi's gunfire before retaliating with her laser blades, only to be sniped on the neck by a different shot emerging from a shadow on the ground. The real Kurumi emerges, outing the initially-seen Kurumi as a clone, which immediately disintegrates. Mana does not bleed from any wounds, but instead screams due to a tormenting migraine. After Mana calms down, Origami finds out that Mana's Realizer is no longer responding. Eventually, Mana's CR-Unit disappears and she is in her civilian clothes again, though has to be stretchered off. Kurumi finally reveals that she shot a <Dalet> at Mana to rewind her body's state to the way it was prior to DEM's experiments on Mana.

Tohka Good End First Half[]

Mana is first seen with Yoshino, Natsumi, and Mukuro stopping by the Itsuka residence to pick Kotori up on their way to school. It is revealed that Mana took up kendo practice during her third year of junior high.

Mana is later seen at the familiar café with her friends, enjoying the seasonal strawberry shortcake that they had ordered. When MARIA calls her, Kotori eventually excuses herself from the café to go back to Fraxinus, leaving the money for Mana to foot the bill.

Tohka Good End Second Half[]

On April 10th, Mana is seen in the Raizen High School uniform for the first time, gathering with Kotori, Yoshino, Natsumi, and Mukuro at the Itsuka household on the morning before the first day.
