Temporary Paradise (仮初めの楽園, Karisome no Rakuen?) is the eleventh episode of Date A Live Ⅴ.
Synopsis[]
DEM's vanguard squad is caught off guard by the sudden arrival of Kurumi's clones, who quickly begin to counterattack. After exploiting their initial confusion, the original Kurumi ambushes Westcott from behind and extracts his stolen Qlipha Crystal. Westcott losing access to his Demon King also causes the Nibelcole to vanish entirely from the battlefield. With Westcott critically wounded and plummeting from the sky, Ellen rescues her boss and orders a retreat. Kurumi then explains to Shido's group that she survived Mio exiting her body by using Het to transfer her Sephira and consciousness to a clone body. Kurumi then proceeds to purify the crystal by rewinding its time with Dalet. Taking in her spoils of war, Kurumi gains access to a new Astral Dress and a second Angel in the form of Rasiel.
The other Spirits soon return from defending their friends against DEM's Bandersnatch forces. However, before they can celebrate, the scenery turns monochrome to indicate that Mio has come back from eliminating the DEM aerial fleet. Shido tries to persuade Mio, but the Spirit of Origin refuses due to her single-minded obsession with reviving Shinji. Despite Shido trying to convey that he is not Shinji and the real one is already dead, Mio still refuses to listen. Due to Mio's knowledge of the future from Shido's memories, even traveling back in time with Zafkiel will no longer work. Consequently, after Shido informs her of Mio's hidden motives, Kurumi decides to finally allow Shido to seal her Reiryoku and entrust him with their future. With his newfound speed and power from finally sealing ten Angels, Shido is able to approach Mio and kiss her, which results in both of them being encased in a sphere of light. Elsewhere, DEM's forces retreat to the beachside as Westcott is still recovering from his injuries. But after inquiring about the status of the Spirit of Origin, the DEM director smirks as if everything is going according to plan. Meanwhile, Kurumi uses her newly gained Rasiel to investigate inside the sphere of light, which Nia frustratingly compares the feeling of someone else using her Angel to NTR. Much to everyone's shared confusion, Kurumi reveals that they are currently at the beach.
Shido soon wakes up on a beach created from Mio's memories. There, he meets Mio, Reine, and Shinji, with the latter two having split off from their memories. Shido and Reine continue their date, with Mio and Shinji joining them in having fun on the beach. As the date progresses, Shido realizes that Mio's true intention in creating him was not to make a replacement for Shinji, but instead, it was done to create someone capable of killing her. Outside of the sphere, the Spirits sense a massive Reiha presence. Much to their collective horror, the source is emanating from Westcott, who has recreated the ritual that gave birth to Mio to transform himself into the Second Spirit of Origin.
