The Power Given (もたらされた力, Motarasareta Chikara?) is the seventh episode of Date A Live Ⅲ.

Synopsis

Fraxinus has taken damage as Kotori and Kyouhei realize that Ellen's ship, Goetia, is purely designed for war. Hinako informs Kotori about the Port Side Territory has reached the damage threshold. In response, she commands the crew to deploy Project Territory and recharge Mistelteinn. Ellen dodges again, however, Kyouhei has used Yggdrafolium Territory to bend the trajectory, giving a clear hit against her which leaves Kotori impressed. However, Munechika informs Kotori that Goetia is still coming toward them as it attacks Fraxinus.

Shido is still calling for help when Origami appears. Remembering what she has said, he asks Origami if she killed Tohka and the others, but she only laughs maniacally. Suddenly, Yoshino shows up, and the fake Origami reveals herself to be Natsumi in disguise. Shido starts to question why they are here, and Yoshino responds that she was showing Natsumi around the city. Natsumi says that they saw him and Origami together, and Yoshino couldn't let it go as they followed them. Embarrassed, Yoshino reminds Natsumi she promised not to say that as she pulls her arm, which causes Natsumi to apologize. Shido asks them to untie him, so Natsumi frees him by remembering a bad feeling to regain her Spirit powers. Natsumi explains to Shido and Yoshino the imagined scenario was her thinking of lunchtime during school. She imagines girls from the same classroom seeing her eating in the bathroom after forgetting to lock the door. As she continues, Natsumi says everyone in the class was staring, snickering, and laughing at her, but Shido says that's enough as they're leaving. When they're outside, Shido can't reach Fraxinus, so he asks if Yoshino and Natsumi know where Tohka and the others are.

When Tohka regains consciousness, she hears Miku asking if she's awake. Miku is glad to see her okay, but she soon collapses from her own injuries. Tohka also sees the Yamai twins badly beaten by Origami. Tohka asks why she would do this, and Origami reaffirms it's because they're Spirits who ruin the world and curse humanity. When Origami grabs Yuzuru by the neck to kill her, Kaguya attempts to attack her out of anger but is easily defeated. Tohka tries to approach, but Origami's Territory prevents her from interfering. She considers using the power of her Inverse Form, but she chooses not to out of an instinctive intuition that this wouldn't save her friends. Tohka calls for Shido to lend her more power as she completely unseals her power and accesses her Full Astral Dress. Although Tohka admits that she hates Origami, she points out that her hatred is somewhat different from before. So while she's going to fight with the intent to kill, she also requests that Origami not die. As the two clash with their swords, Origami starts to experience terrible headaches from going over her CR-Unit's operational limit, giving Tohka a chance to land a slash on her. Lying on the ground, Origami realizes that, even after wasting her life, she remains unable to catch up to a Spirit's full power. She has sacrificed everything, yet has nothing left to show for it. Suddenly, a mysterious voice asks Origami if she wishes for more power. After confirming she does, Origami is given a mysterious white crystal. Upon touching it, she begins to transform.

In the military base, Ryouko is informed about a substantial Reiha reading that wasn't in the DEM report, causing her to believe another Spirit has appeared. However, there's no Spacequake, so it's a silent appearance. Ryouko becomes suspicious of Origami’s suspension getting fixed by DEM. Back in the location of that reading, Tohka returns to the other Spirits after thinking Origami has been defeated. When Yuzuru asks where is Origami, Tohka responds that she smacked her with the flat end of her sword. It won't kill Origami because she's protected by Territory, albeit there is a slight confusion in her explanation due to Tohka mispronouncing the word territory as teriyaki. The three of them check on Miku, and she is revealed to be sleeping, much to their relief. Kaguya suggests that they should thank Miku when she wakes up. When Kaguya tells Tohka that Miku protected her while she was unconscious, Yuzuru agrees as she says that Miku was admirable. After Tohka thanks Miku, the Yamai twins suddenly tell Tohka that she should wake Miku up by kissing her like a princess. However, the Yamai twins did not say that, so Tohka figures it was Miku imitating their voices as she was awake and wanting to get a kiss from her. As the Yamai twins scold her for imitating their voices, Miku apologizes, but she promises to pay them back with her body as she gropes their chests, much to their discomfort. Suddenly, the four of them see a bright light, and it's revealed to be Origami who has turned into a Spirit. Tohka tells Miku and the Yamai twins to flee since she can't protect and fight at the same time. Origami summons her Angel, Metatron, to defeat Tohka. When Tohka asks her why is she a Spirit, Origami realizes what she has become. Nevertheless, she reaffirms her dedication to kill all the Spirits, including herself after all other Spirits are dead.

As Shido, Yoshino, and Natsumi are heading their way to see the other Spirits, they see Tohka and Origami clashing against each other. When Tohka attempts to attack her, Origami teleports a few meters away from her original position and manages to injure Tohka with her long-distance light beam strikes. Origami teleports away again just as Tohka's sword tries to reach her, but Tohka quickly retaliates with a punch to her face. Tohka summons her throne to wield her Final Sword <Halvanhelev> and asks Origami if they can resolve this peacefully. However, Origami refuses as her resolve and mission will not change to permit Spirits to live. While Tohka is going to use her Final Sword, Origami summons her ultimate attack, <Artelif>. However, Shido's pleas for them to stop interrupts the fight before their ultimate attacks can collide. Unable to face Shido in her Spirit form, Origami flies away. When night falls, Origami sees the destruction she had caused and loathes herself for becoming a Spirit. However, she realizes that she finally has the strength necessary to kill Spirits; not just Tohka, but even Kotori and Kurumi too. Looking at a nearby clock, Origami has an epiphany on how to obtain her revenge.

At the school's infirmary, Shido is told about Origami becoming a Spirit by Tohka, but she doesn't know all the details of what happened. While Shido looks at the damage from outside, Yoshino checks if the Yamai twins are okay. As he notices Natsumi belittling herself, Miku stands up from bed. Shido tells her not to push herself, but while appreciating his concern, Miku states she has the power to do her job. As she summons Gabriel to sing <Requiem>, the pain from the other Spirits is relieved, and she falls to her knees. Shido thanks Miku, but the other Spirits still need to go to the hospital before the song's effect wears off. As Shido asks Tohka if she can walk, he soon realizes he needs to reseal her due to AST now being able to detect her Spirit powers. When Tohka asks him if there's anything wrong, Shido says it's nothing, but he subtly uses the curtains to give them some privacy. Tohka starts to question Shido about what he's doing, so he whispers to her ear about re-sealing her. Feeling blushed, Tohka prepares to let Shido kiss her, however, he has caught the other Spirits spying on them. Suddenly, Tamae appears, but she merely calls the hospital and is oblivious to the fact that Tohka is a Spirit, much to Shido's relief.

Elsewhere, Kurumi's clones are cheerfully running around the city while on the rooftops. As the original Kurumi is looking down at the city, she feels a presence approaching her. It's soon revealed to be Origami, who is dragging along one of Kurumi's clones.
