Date A Bullet: Nightmare or Queen (デート・ア・バレット ナイトメア・オア・クイーン, Dēto A Baretto: Naitomea Oa Kuīn?) is a film that was released on November 13, 2020.
The film is loosely based on Date A Live Fragment: Date A Bullet spin-off novel series but with an original story written by Yūichirō Higashide.
Story[]
Upon waking up in the Neighboring World, Kurumi Tokisaki encounters Hibiki Higoromo, who reveals an ongoing battle royal hosted by the Dominion, Doll Master. After Hibiki leads Kurumi to a school, a number of girls, known as Quasi-Spirits, gather together. All the while, a mysterious girl known as White Queen lurks in the shadows, with a personal connection to Kurumi's past. Now, a new battle begins.
Summary[]
In a brief flashback, Kurumi is woken up in a classroom by her friend Sawa. Sawa remarks that Kurumi has been asleep so long that everyone else has already left. Sensing her friend’s worries, Sawa asks if Kurumi is troubled by the love letter she has just received. Despite having turned down the confession, Kurumi says that it’s her first time getting a love confession, and she has no experience in matters of love. Kurumi remarks that she would go out with someone if there was a person she liked. This causes Sawa to tease her by asking if she would choose such a person over herself, which causes Kurumi to embarrassingly admit she would choose Sawa. Still, Kurumi remarks she hopes to find a wonderful love one day, to which Sawa promises to support her when such a time arises.
Back in the Neighboring World, Kurumi raises her pistol as she confronts Tsuan, Yui, and Isami. Kurumi answers Isami's question by stating that Doll Master had run away. Isami refuses to trust Kurumi's word; and subsequently, a free-for-all brawl breaks out. Kurumi accelerates herself with the First Bullet Aleph to gain an advantage as Hibiki arrives and tries to get Kurumi's attention by pulling her dress. Kurumi raises her gun towards Hibiki, who quickly panics and pleads for mercy while repeating her name and how she means no harm. Hibiki's panicky response causes Kurumi to sarcastically state that it's good that Hibiki is well. At that moment, Yui takes this opportunity to attack, but Kurumi repels her kunai with her guns and shoots a bullet that grazes Yui's left shoulder. As the injury causes Yui to flee the scene, Kurumi turns her attention to Tsuan, who is locking blades against Isami. Much to Kurumi's bewilderment, Tsaun confesses that she wants to save the Third Spirit as her last opponent. Taking advantage of the awkward atmosphere from this confession, Hibiki suggests that they go somewhere else in the meantime.
