Date A Live: Spirit Pledge is a mobile game of the Date A Live series.
Information[]
The game was announced at the end of 2017 by the Chinese company Shanghai Phantasia Information Technology Co., Ltd. The release took place on September 17, 2018 for the iOS platform and on September 21, 2018 for Android. It is also possible to run the game on a PC using an emulator (provided by the developers). The game is distributed on a shareware model and contains in-game purchases.
Date A Live: Spirit Pledge is available in online stores such as AppStore, Google Play, Bilibili, QooApp store and TapTap. An internet connection is required to play.
On October 5, 2019, in Shanghai during the celebration of the anniversary of Date A Live: Spirit Pledge, it was announced that the game would receive a Korean version.
On March 18, 2020, the international version of the game was announced, with the first trailer made available on the next day. The game was released on July 26th under the open beta testing program.
On May 13, 2022, an updated version of the game was released in China with rapid changes: increased resolution and stability, new interface design, rebalanced characters and modes, etc. The global release of the updated version was released on June 9th.
On February 8, 2022, the Japanese version of the game was announced. The game was released in Japan as Date A Live: Spirit Crisis (デート・ア・ライブ 精霊クライシス?) on October 28, 2022.
On May 20, 2023, the Global version was officially shutdown as cited due to lack of active players. However, the Chinese and Japanese versions remain unaffected.[2]
Gameplay[]
Date A Live: Spirit Pledge is an action RPG game that offers a combination of visual novel and dating simulator aspects. At launch, the game had only a Chinese version with Japanese voice acting. Later, the game received a Korean version, and in the summer of 2020 it also received an English version. At the same time, the global version and Korean version also retain voice acting from Japanese voice actors.
The story of the game comes from the perspective of the protagonist, who is the player himself (you must enter your name, but it is assumed that this is Shido). In battles, the player uses Spirits and Wizards in combat. Each of the characters has their own fighting style and special abilities.
The player is also allowed to participate in regular battles, various events and dates, in which, for successful actions, you can accumulate different currencies for the in-game store. The store sells various items designed for increase combat stats, as well as costumes for visual customization of the heroines.

The event started in Chinese version on July 15, 2021. In the first stage, only Maple was available from the characters. The second stage of the event, in which Sally was introduced, started on September 28 of the same year.
